A Year of Flourishing

Flourishing Tree-17.jpeg

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” –Psalm 92:12-15

This is the year where the righteous flourish. This is the year the righteous, those who have been faithful to God and His Word, refusing to waver or falter, will be rewarded.

This is the Year of Plenteous Rewards from Heaven.

This is the Year of Fabulous Outpourings from Heaven.

A Year of Flourishing for The People of God

A Year of Reward for The Faithful.

God promises that we will flourish.

Flourish means

“(of a person, animal, or other living organism) grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment.” (Oxford Dictionary, Online)

God will cause me and you to flourish in this brand new year. God will plant us in a land of prosperity. He will plant us in a place of favor, abundance, and grace, where we will grow, expand, and produce double in the new land He gives us.

There is a prayer by a man named Jabez in Chronicles.

Jabez, in Hebrew, means Yabetz, and it means: “I bear him in sorrow…” (1 Chronicles 4:9).

You can imagine the amount of grief and shame that may have come because of his name.

But, even with this name, and the negative perception around his name, he still summoned the courage to ask The Lord:

“Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

–1 Chronicles 4:9-10

God is not a respecter of persons. He will cause you to have such abundance and multiplication that will surpass your wildest dreams. So just like Yabetz, be bold. ASK for your reward. ASK God for a year of flourishing so you can thrive in God’s designated place for you like never before.

He will make sure that you increase in influence, strength, and wisdom. He will promote you and lift you to higher levels in Him. He will cause you to be successful in all He leads you to do. God will make sure that your new blessings will not overwhelm you or destroy you or your family. He will make sure you have the strength and the wisdom to steward, share His blessings with others.

The conditions for this is that we keep trusting God.

In Psalm 30:5, it says, God’s Word is pure.

“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”

He will not lie to us. He will not pretend. Or over exaggerate. Everything He promised is true. And real. Powerful, and ever increasing.

He will make sure everything He has promised us, everything He has said, will surely come to pass. If God promised that we will flourish, we will flourish! If God said we will be rewarded–He is good and He is faithful to keep that promise. He will give us the desire of our heart. No take backs…..God will complete what He started and do what He said. God has pure intentions, pure motives and a pure heart toward. Everything He says is out of His benevolence, mercy, kindness and love for us. God loves you.

You and I have a role to play in order to receive all God desires us to have this year, and become all He has created us to be.

Keep our expectations HIGH.

“And God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think…”

–Ephesians 3:20

He surpasses our expectations and exceeds our limits-not only financially, but in every single area of our lives.

Remember God knows our every need. He knows our every dream…and the secret petitions of our hearts. Don’t limit Him anymore. Dream big, and exceed your expectations from God. He will give you what you expect and more. He is a BIG GOD.

Keep our expectation on HIM.

“For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”

–Psalm 107:9

God is the only one who can satisfy us and fulfill all we desire.

Allow God to heal our hearts so we would be able to receive from Him.

If we continue to harbor bitterness over the past, carry burdens, hold onto things of the past that The Lord tells us to let go of…we leave no room for Him to heal our broken hearts, bind up pour wounds and restore our lives. If we keep God out with negative barriers around our heart, we prevent the healing power of His love from coming in.

Remember what the Lord said?

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

 –Matthew 11:30, KJV

And–

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

–Psalm 147:3

He is near the broken in heart and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He will comfort us and remove all the shame, pain, disappointment and grief in our heart and life. Once He can remove the gunk of the past, He can fill you with all the joy, life, favor, and love He has waited to pour in us and bestow upon us this year.

So, focus on Him, and God promises to keep His Word and provide for you. Keep standing on this Word, no matter how things look like, He will make things right.

God has WONDERFUL BLESSINGS, things you could not have even imagined in store for you!
