You Are Not Alone

The dark night of the soul can be the most terrorizing and agonizing, lonely season of a person’s life.

God seems so far away.

Everything seems to be at a standstill.

You can’t see past your despair.

Friends and family can not save you.

It’s you.

It seems.

And only you.

It can be lonely.

Devastatingly lonely.

But it is a season of great victory because you begin to realize that even if He is not talking to you.

Even if it looks things are not working.

Or it seems like things do not make any sense.

God cares for you..regardless if He seems close or near. God has not forgotten you.

He causes even the rudiments of this present season to become a glorious experience of His strength, might and love for you.

What does Romans 8:28-32 say?

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

So trust Him. These are going to be the moments you will remember when God delivers you and brings you into a place of divine rest.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” –Psalm 46:10

God wants me to encourage you. You are not alone. God never gives more than you can handle. God loves you and will never leave you nor forsake you. You see, God’s goal is to grow you up to the place where you can say surely–God is God and He alone dictates and guides you. That God is God in your life. He is The Only One Who Can Satisfy your heart. God wants you to finally rest in Him.

Here is a song that articulates God’s heart for you today:

“You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you’re miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you’ve got a friend in me
Yeah, you’ve got a friend in me

You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got troubles, and I’ve got ’em too
There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you
We stick together and can see it through
‘Cause you’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too, maybe
But none of them will ever love you
The way I do, it’s me and you, boy
And as the years go by
Our friendship will never die
You’re gonna see it’s our destiny
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me.”
