“Therefore, looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
I am reminded,
When faced with a difficulty,
When I face
parts of my life that
don’t make sense.
The parts of my life that are
Leaving more room for questions than answers.
Leaving dust on memories…and long ago dreams.
Even in the midst of our trials, failure or defeat…
Our hope is not lost.
For HE has said He is working in us to do His Will and good pleasure. HE has promised to complete the work He has begun in us (Phillippians 1:6).
HE has said He will not leave you or abandon you HE has said that HE will make everything beautiful in its time…including you (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Believe it. It’s true.
God is not finished with you…nor are you to sit in despair, for the work He has given you is not finished either.
So look unto the hills from where comes,
Your help comes from the Lord;
Which made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1).
The world looked lifeless and seemed dead–
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis 1:1
God brought Life and His Light to it. God brought HIMSELF.
And because God was in it, over, and around the earth, it became a finished work.
Despite what it seemed.
Even if it looked hopeless.
God knows the end from the beginning.
And knew His creation would come forth from it…and be beautiful.
Despite how ugly,
Your life may seem–
If God finished making the earth, how much more you, and your life
And your destiny?
Oh, you of little faith.
God ALWAYS finishes what He started. So whatever God has given you to do, whatever tasks He has purposed for you to perform…
Whatever skill, talent, gifts He wants you to hone,
Because no matter how strange it may look, The Father has prepared you for such a time as this.
He has given you the Spirit, His Spirit to accomplish whatever lies ahead of you.
Your destiny waits for your obedience to Him in these moments of incompletion.
We are to not look at what is not there, who is not there, what is not right, what is not finished, what does not make sense…
Rather, look at what He has already done. What He has promised you in your life. And His Character.
HE will surely bring it to pass.
Yes, my life looks incomplete. But when I remember that God has yet to show His Glory in all areas of my life–
That He always keeps His Promises to me.
I am comforted.
And keep walking faithfully with Him till I see all His Promises unfold.
I gratefully wait for His Promises to be revealed.
Keep your eyes focused on Jesus…our primary Hope lies forever in our faith in Him.
He is the Author and Finisher of your faith.
Our story is still being written.
In every season,
Friends, remember that this is a time where God is making us over again. So be patient with you…and let The Lord work patience in you for such a time as this.
He uses everything that you go through.
Don’t let shame, or fear, or doubt cloud that truth.
I lived through it before.
And am witnessing the Beautiful Unfolding of His Faithfulness.
In every part of my once broken life.
So let His truth sink into your heart and continue to deepen there. He will heal you, comfort you, restore you and make you whole again. HE is God and HE loves you. Have faith. It is only for a moment. These tests are just for a season.
God bless you.
What kind of challenges are you facing today?
And does it help to know that God is in the midst of it, working on it?
Working on you?
