Truth

In a world of conflicting stereotypes,
Contrived idealogies,
Unfinished dialouge,
And disengaged hearts…
Grace doesn’t set you free.
Knowing the truth does.
“And you shall know the truth
And the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Truth is a commodity that we can not afford to pass up in this life. We need it more than we need the air we breathe.

We at times try to take,

And

Buy food that is not satisfactory for our souls.

We

Eat,

Consume,

Give into and

Hold onto

And fill ourselves with the words of this world.

We try to buy gold that is perishable.

Consume the empty ways of this world.

But the truth is–

Jesus offers to us a purer gold, a better food that will continue to fill us.
His Word, His Truth. The Truth.
That is truth.

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” John 17:17

Sanctify means “to be set apart”.

And as His Word keeps us clean, from the corruption that fills in the world, He insulates us, keeps us away from, and He keeps us safe from being defiled by the ways of this world.

He offers His Word to us so that we can be true through and through.
And be complete in Him through and through.

“My advice to you is to buy pure gold from me, gold purified by fire—only then will you truly be rich. And to purchase from me white garments, clean and pure, so you won’t be naked and ashamed; and to get medicine from me to heal your eyes and give you back your

sight.” Revelation 3:18, TLB

His Life is His Word.
And His Word is The Life we need to live in this world.

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

Consuming The Word will keep us full of His Truth.

That will keep us safe.

That will keep us full of life.
Protect us from the lies.
And give us life.
Heal us and make us whole.

I need his Word more than anything else.
That is why I, and I pray you, seek truth above all else.
Because our world is full of opinions.
Full of untruths that threaten to take us out.
We are His Word in the earth.
(We meditate, think, and do His Word so much so we become His Word).

If you continue in His Word,

If you keep on doing like He says, by faithfully walking out the scriptures,

You are considered His Disciple.

John 8:32, NKJV

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

And you will bear much fruit.

That is only if you and I persevere.

Bearean Bible
Luke 8:15
But the seeds on good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, cling to it, and by persevering produce a crop.

  1. It comes down to knowing the word of God and then living it as much as humanly possible. Wonderful post. Truly we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and thankfully it is sweet. My prayer is always, May your words be written on the table of my heart, so when I have no Bible with me, I still have the confident hope of His words. Wonderful post. Regina

  2. Hi Regina,
Thank you for sharing your Reflections on the post. God is Word is tried and true! And I love how you remind us of how sweet His Word is! Sweeter than a honeycomb! I’m resting assured in His Promises, even if I may have to humbled myself to them in every way, and in every way. I pray He continue to develop us in His Word too Regina. Many blessings on you, your husband and family. 🌻 In every season, your friend, Amarachi
