I am praying that we are Psalm 92:12-15:“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
15 To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” Psalm 92:12-15
Many are waiting, full of expectation, waiting for the Promise of God to come.
Many have been waiting for years.
So was Mary.
And yet, all of their stories, though spoken and recorded centuries ago stand the test of time and speak a language of faith we all are able to hear, understand…and I pray…live by.
Mary was a virgin.
Living in Israel.
She was engaged to a carpenter, Joseph.
Until one day, an angel from The Lord God Himself came to her and said:
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus” (Luke 1:30-31).
Zacharias, the husband of Elizabeth, was performing his duties as a priest in the temple when an angel of God appeared and said:
“Fear not, Zacharias: for they prayer us heard; and the wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son” (Luke 1:13).
Elizabeth was a woman of old age.
Barren. Since she was young. Then, one day she heard the news. That her womb would hold a son. And she would give birth to a child named John. John was going to be the person, the prophet ” ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Luke 1:17). He would be the person to prepare people for the Savior of the world.
She went to visit her relative Elizabeth, for an angel of The Lord had revealed to her that Elizabeth, who used to be barren was now holding a son–a promise of God in her womb.
Zacharias mouth was shut because he doubted the promise of God coming forth out of the angel’s mouth.
Elizabeth had waited for God to grant her desire and He did.
And Mary was unexpectedly blessed but she was being watched for her whole life to determine her faithfulness to the Lord.
God favored her above all women to conceive, nurture, hold and birth the son of God….
He chose the humble of heart to bear a promise.
He chose the supposedly barren where there seemed to be no hope.
All to prove that He is God, and that with Him nothing is impossible. (Luke 1:37).
Their subsequent actions determined their faith in God (Luke 37-56).
So, what should I do after receiving a Promise from God?
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”–Luke 1:37
The first act of faith is saying YES.
Without knowing exactly the repercussions for her yes or the sacrifices she would make for this yes….
She just said yes.
The next thing she did was to go. She went to someone who had a promise of God about ready to birth that she could see and expect with them, and pray for, and help that her faith would be developed everyday just like the precious promise of God.
Their subsequent actions determine their faith in God’s ability in their lives (Luke 1:37-56).
And she stayed in this prophetic environment where the future God has declared was honored—until the manifestation of her promise was seen (Luke 1:56).
Your faith in God and His Promises to you is directly linked to the actions you take.
The promise of God, and its ability to be born, is connected with your ability to stay in faith.
As you pray God’s promises, stay faithful to what He says to you about your destiny, God is developing it. Preparing it. Getting it ready just for you.
But when you speak doubt-filled words, words of unbelief, scoff, laugh or joke around sarcastically even about the promises of God–you can abort the beautiful gift God had in store for you.
Zacharias prayed for his child, John, before he came to be. With those same lips he prayed for his son, he used it to doubt.
What’s wrong with asking questions? Shouldn’t I be able to ask God questions?
The amazing thing about God is–yes. You can.
Both of their accounts, are parallel, told one after the other for a reason.
One is what to do.
And what not to do.
In both of these accounts, Mary and Zacharias ask HOW to the angel delivering the good news.
But there are two different WAYS they asked.
Zacharias asked HOW in this context:
How will I know this is true?
How is it possible for an old man like me and an old woman such as my wife to have sex and conceive?
Mary asked HOW in this context:
I believe with what you say, but how will I physically be able to have a child, since I am a virgin?
You see the difference?
Mary was confused about the steps needed in order for the Promise.
Zacharias was a lack of faith.
God is so merciful. In both instances.
The answer for his doubt was: “I will close your mouth so you will not affect the promise of God from happening”
“20 But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time” (Luke 1:20).
The answer to her questions:
Don’t worry, nothing with God is impossible…and the angel gave her the “how.”
“35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35).
Which one are you?
Are you Mary?
Are you Elizabeth?
Or are you Zacharias?
Zacharias mouth had to be closed in order to keep God’s Promise’s protected.
His unbelief may have aborted the Promise of God.
If you are like Zacharias…repent. Ask God to forgive you. He will help you find the faith to believe in His Promises again, for real this time.
God loves you. He is always looking for ways to help you and redeem you. Even if you find it difficult to believe His Promise for you, He will help you understand, press on, hold onto and eventually give birth to the promise you have been waiting for.
God does this by always pairing us up with someone who is also pregnant with a similar promise. This helps us stay in faith and stand in expectation for our own Promise from Him to come to pass.
Mary and Elizabeth partnered with one another and shared each other’s testimony, and praised God together.
Uniting in faith. Encouraged in faith. Transformed in faith.
Enlivened by faith in God and His Power,
His Mercy and His Kindness.
In the end, my dear friends,
The Promises of God are yes and amen.
God chooses the humble of heart to birth His promises in. Believing God’s Promises helps us give birth to it.
The sound of a promise fulfilled is shouts of joy, gladness and rejoicing. Amen.
For Zacharias: “Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, praising God” (Luke 1:64).
For Mary: “41 And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord” (Luke 1:41-45).
And Elizabeth: “57 Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son. 58 When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her” (Luke 1:57-58).
For the mercy God has shown you, others will rejoice with you.
Others will see The Lord’s faithfulness. and they will praise God for answering your prayer.
You will praise God for His Mercy toward you.
You will praise Him wholeheartedly for His Faithfulness and for bringing His Promise to birth.
God promises joy and gladness with His joy and gladness-Jesus.
Thousands of years later, I am overwhelmed with so much joy! Not only because Mary chose to not only say yes to God in the beginning-but keep saying yes to God every.single. day.
Regardless of the stain on her reputation and the ridicule she must of have endured for the rest of her life.
Mary birthed Emmanuel. God with us. And now we can have Him in our hearts forever.
Many of you have waited for this Promise of God to come to pass. You’ve waited for the years of depression, shame, sin to be healed.
He is here. God sent His Son in human flesh so you and I can witness the birth of a miracle. Jesus and your brand new life. The Promise came so that you will have the promise of a brand new life.
Jesus is the open door for you to have a brand new life.
When you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, believing in Him as The Ruler of All things, including your life; you will have the opportunity to experience the peace and favor the angels sang about when He was born (Luke 2:14).
And The Joy!
The Joy of life after death. The Joy that Hope will win in the end.
The Joy of the truth: God loves you–forever!
Jesus is the reason for the season. So let’s celebrate Him as The Promise we all have waited for. Let us trust Him in all the steps we take. As we enter into this Christmas and the new year.
Thank you Father for the Promise you have given us. New life, a rebirth, and a new beginning with Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Savior and King. We love Him and we love You.

“My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and don’t give up when he corrects you.
6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” –Hebrews 12:5-6
It’s funny. Ever since I was young, I always loved to learn. To go to school. To read. Take exams. I loved it. Still do. School has always been a place of wonder, excitement, a place of grace where I can find the support, wisdom, affirmation that I longed for. It was here where I had the freedom to explore, create, succeed. A place where I could be appreciated for my pursuit of knowledge and hunger for it.
I learned how to study just to pass the exam.
So. I wanted to stay where I felt comfortable.
Where I felt safe. Where my ideas of life, love and character could not be challenged so much.
For me, I could learn, learn, and learn…and not feel threatened for not applying it. Because no one challenged me to. If I had an exam or test I would study just for the test…never learning how to use it for my life.
Never allowing what I had learned to sink into my heart and flow out into my life.
Yet, I was never meant to stay here. AND that was never the intention of school. Regardless of how it’s structured, it was never meant to be a place where you learn how to “school”. It is meant to reform behavior and develop life skills (ideally) to help a child function for the rest of their life.
It is a safe place where you learn the importance of key subjects, and use these lessons to live a better life.
Majority of your existence will be in school. A place where God is training you, teaching, molding, developing you into the person He already has created you to be. That you may be fully equipped to handle, to cultivate, to inherit and to stand fully in your calling.
So that you will fulfill your destiny.
He uses His Word, and other believers to help you grow and be ready when it’s time for a test.
That is if only you are willing.
If you’re willing.
Many of you reading this may have not had a positive school expeirence.
You felt like you wasted years of your life with posion filled friends, homework and teachers.
You may have been,
Felt like you were overlooked,
Just know that this time around, when God leads you to school to learn,
And gives you tests to reveal your character and heart….
If you are willing to trust Him,
It will be different this time.
School may look differently for every one.
You may be called to go back to actual school, college or etc.
You may be called back to your old neighborhood.
You may be called back to an old job.
so that you can see what you have missed, what you are lacking, how to improve, how to prepare better for the storms of life, and finally…
How to overcome it all.
And everyone’s test will not look the same.
It may not be what you had planned. However, it is for a reason. He is doing it because He has a plan in it all. He is doing it because He loves you.
A good teacher prepares his or her students to not only to pass the test but how to apply it in your everyday life so that you may one day share it with others. All in an effort, so they too can miss the same pitfalls and mistakes you have made yourself. God is not willing that you would perish nor is He willing that you don’t fulfill your destiny.
He wants you to learn through school, through the lessons of life, take the tests and trials that it brings–and come out of it better than you were before.
Tests are also meant to show what’s in your heart. Tests are meant to reveal who and what you are made of.
These tests are not meant to kill you but make you into the person God created you to be.
Tests make you stronger, wiser, and more loving.
And He is using these tests to purify, sift, remove the bad in you to heal your brokenness and trade it for wholeness.
But you need to be willing to go through the tests that come with school.
What happens if you are not?
You may have to repeat the same class. You may have to repeat the same test. Yes, it can seem like a waste of time, energy, and tears. However, humility is the prerequisite to growing, learning and passing the tests of life.
Just know if you do have to repeat the tests of life–
Trust in God and rely on His never changing Character and Love for you.
Don’t be afraid.
It’s only a test.
And it’s only for a season.
And just like every season,
It’s going to be alright.
Take refuge in His strength, and in His grace that you may excel in the school of the Lord and the tests of time.
When gold is tried, it’s purified.
You have gold in you. Let God correct you and discipline you so His best can shine in YOU.
You can do this. Allow Him to get you through every test and trial and you will pass.
Every single one.
Lord, help me, help us, to abide in you, and allow You to teach us what we need to know while we are in school whatever and wherever that may be. And when we go through tests and trials, help us to remain faithful to you, no matter the pain, endure and stand strong.
Help us to learn and be bold in our faith so we can be ready for the tests of life that are coming ahead. Thank you for purifying us, and bringing us out like gold. Heal us. Restore us. Make us new again. In Your Son’s Name, we pray….
Have a beautiful Sunday.
God bless you.
Shining like gold,
Question: Tell me, what test has God brought you through? And what kind of lesson did you get from it that you can now share with others? I love to hear from you, comment below 🙂
It is a song of ascents.
(A song sung by ancient Israleties on pilgrimages back to Jerusalem during holy feasts.)
It is a song praise.
It is a song of expectation.
A song of celebration!
All this and more when it comes this beautifully written song.
But to help us remember Psalm 126 and what it means for us, today, in this very hour, and season of time..
I have written 4 Words to help you and I see, summarize, embrace, and live out the promise of God before this year ends.
God frees us.
“1 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.“
Have you ever had a time in your life when God just came through for you? You know that moment where you have prayed and waited. Waited and prayed, for a miracle, and yet–nothing. Till one day, everything, I mean everything changed. Whether it be freedom from an addiction, business deal goes through, college acceptance letter arrives, or you reach your goals and take a step into destiny, after spending days, month and years waiting for this prayer to be answered.
When God turns it.
It’s like dream.
And though it was a long time. What amazing testimony.
“God did this.”
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
God’s Power is put on display when He blesses you. Especially for those who do not believe.
We will say:
The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
I wonder if He waits purposely so that those around us will have the opportunity to share our experience so that they too will taste and see also, that God is real.
And He does miracles still.
And He is so good.
Especially for the people who trust Him.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
This verse is different.
It starts off with a request. A prayer.
Why? Didn’t the Psalmist already say God had turned or delivered them?
We are traveling through different seasons, and yet experience similar type of obstacles.
We all will come to a situation, where we feel trapped.
Maybe even be still entangled in the sins of your past.
All bring us to the end of ourselves.
We can call out to God in prayer, and He will hear us.
And deliver us from all our fears, addictions, and situations.
Whether you have to walk through the valley to get there, or wait for the Lord to come through for you.
And He promises to reward you.
Tears are seed too.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
When you sow your tears in the soil of God’s Word it will spring up leaves, a tree and fruit, that will produce such joy in your life. The Joy Unspeakable will come not only because He came through for you and the answer, turn around, were exceedingly abundantly more than you could ask or even think, but because now you know Him.
Or rather, have a better understanding of Who He is.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
The years of pain, will be reversed to gain.
Years of bondage will be reversed for freedom.
Years of poverty, will be reversed with wealth.
Years of loss will be reversed to new life and reedemed time.
Years of weeping, will be reversed to rejoicing….
You may have gone forth, or left, leaving behind your past, or was left of it with tears.
A relationship, a dream job,
Maybe even a loved one.
Just know that He is on The Throne. He knows everything. So settle in this.
He which began a good work in you will continue till the day of Christ.
Your tears again, are seed.
He sees your pain. He has heard your cries. He will show you His deliverance and His Mighty Power–suddenly. So much so that you will be in awe and wonder at His Work in you that you will now know what to do but praise God!!
Psalm 126 will be a reminder to us all that true restoration can only come from The One Who knows the Times and Seasons and will definitely deliver you at the right time.
So that all will know that God is God. And He has done this in your life, hopefully opening their eyes to the freedom you have in Jesus.
Celebrate. Be merry! You’re free now. Rejoice and be glad over all that God has done!
God bless you today

May the Lord God bless this week before us! Stay expectant. Great things are in store for you. A reward of blessings is on its way. Just keep staying humble. And expectant.
You’ve waited long enough.
In the slumber of your dreams.
And waited quietly as your heart was broken by setting apart.
You’re free now.
Used by God.
As a bird flying high in the sky.
Your heart has made whole now.
Your heart has been strengthened.
Break free now. Break free.
Your heart has been illuminated. Like the Son you shine.
Your heart is free now from the chains of the past.
Your tears are heard. Are seen.
So break free now. Catapulted into your Destiny.
Your heart is free now from the chains of the past.
I strengthened your heart so now you can fly.
Now you can fly.
Now you can fly.
I’ve strengthened your heart,
So now you can fly.
Now. You. Can. Fly.
Fly baby, fly.”
Isaiah 40:31/Psalm 27:14/Psalm126
Have a great week flying everyone.
And don’t forget to share in the comments your view from above.
God bless you all.
Have a soaring week.
The story is Jacob wrestled with an angel till morning for his blessing (Genesis 32:22-32)
Sometimes it can seem like that.
A constant battle of walking in truth before Him.
Yet. Never give up. Because once we set in our minds to give God our all and let Him use our hearts for His Kingdom….He will bless us.
Jacob got His blessing.
And so will you.
Never let go.
Till the Lord blesses your soul. With whatever your seeking Him for. Whether it be deliverance, promotion, or healing.
The Lord will bless your soul, if you just keep holding on to Him.
I wanted to share this with you friends.
Here it is:
Sing this song as you meditate on His goodness and love for you, and go deeper with God into all He’s calling you to be. Asking Him to help you overcome your battles and make you new again.
There are struggles that are beyond what we can see know and understand. But He knows how to make it well with your soul. He knows how to make your heart new again. So continue asking, praying and resting in His Everlasting Love. For He cares for you.
God bless you all today.
Have a good weekend.
Don’t give up on seeking God and asking for His Light and Love to come and make you whole. For He will give you peace and make you whole.
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you”–Deuteronomy 31:6
Whatever the situation, whatever the problem; no matter the challenge or new calling, new venture, or opportunity the Lord has placed before you–do not be afraid. Just know that God is going before you and He will be with you….wherever you go. Go and poessess what He has for you. Move into The Lords best for your life. Inherit what He has called and set apart for you.
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.
The is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you...” —Deuteronomy 31:6,8
So don’t be afraid. Only believe in Him. You can trust The Lord. He is faithful God Who will also do it.
My prayer for us today is that God shows us His Glory mightier than ever before in this season and keeps us grounded like never before.
I pray God’s peace and strength keep you as you step into all that He has for you.
I pray God’s gracious nature fills your heart with all joy and peace as you continue to walk into all that He has for you.
May The Lord bless you with His fire, strength and peace as you and I walk out together the calling He has given you and I and continue to seek His face for wisdom concerning the opportunities He has placed before us.
In His Name, I pray Amen.
God bless you all today,
I’ll continually pray for you as you do me.

I love you all,
*All Bible verses came from the NASB translation*
I wanted share a devotional with you today. It is “an extra insight” piece written by Our Daily Bread Ministries for October 6th 2017.
And it says:
“During the Last Supper, Peter couldn’t imagine he would deny Jesus once—let alone three times (John 13:37–38). But then the unthinkable happened (Matt. 26:69–75). Later, however, Jesus gave Peter three opportunities to express love to the One who so mercifully forgave him (John 21:15–18).
In that love and forgiveness Peter found a way forward. We too can move forward from the sins of our past through the love and forgiveness of Christ.”
Pray this with me:
“Dear Lord, I’m so thankful that through You we can be free of the burdens of the past—the mistakes, the pain, the sins—that hang so heavy. We don’t need to carry around regret or shame. We can leave them with You.” –Our Daily Bread Ministries
Let God make you new by giving up your burdens.
There’s a lot going on in this world. Just keep your eyes focused on Him and keep moving forward. He has a plan for your life. Not your mistakes or failures. But you.
I love you all,
* Feel free to read the rest of the devotional here:
November 23rd, 2015 the Lord had laid on my heart to share my heart regarding what I had learned that past week. After going through a plethora of heart stirring thoughts, and lessons I had learned the day before, this is one of the many conclusions I had shared.
This is what I wrote:
“I also learned that interruptions in my life may be frustrating, but at times it is God’s way of centering us, humbling us into reality. His Way of completing us and making us less self absorbed.
Like if you still have homework to do, someone reminds you that the dishes need to be washed…
Or when you are in the middle of writing a great story and the dinner table just has to be set by you…..
Or when you are in the middle of writing a blog, and for some odd reason now is the time for someone to remind you that the trash needs to get done…..
God knows we can become burnt out, and single minded, when we only focus on our own goals and plans, that’s why His divine interruptions are our saving grace.”
I love you all,
Whoever you are and whatever you do
Goodnight or good morning,
God bless you.
